Who we are
Tide Digital is a business of Canuckt Synergy Solutions Inc., Bedford, Nova Scotia. This policy covers the website tidedigital.ca and the enquiries you send us through it.
What we collect
When you use our contact form. Your name, your email address, your business name if you give it, and your message. If you email us instead, we receive your email address and whatever you write.
When you visit the site. Our web server keeps a standard access log for each request: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the page that linked to it, and your browser and device type. This is how web servers work; we use it only to keep the site secure and to fix problems.
We do not use analytics or advertising tools on this site, and the site does not set cookies. We do not buy lists or collect information about you from other sources.
How we use it
We use your enquiry only to reply to you and, if you choose to work with us, to quote and deliver your project. We do not add you to a mailing list and we never sell your information.
Where it is kept and who can see it
Form enquiries go straight into our customer conversation system, which we run ourselves on a server in Canada. The website itself does not store them. Server logs are kept on the same server. Only our team can see them.
When we reply by email, or are told of a new enquiry by email, the message passes through our email providers, which may process it outside Canada. We share your information with no one else unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep an enquiry for as long as we need it to answer you and, if you become a client, for the length of the work and our legal record keeping. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Server logs are rotated automatically and older entries are overwritten.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to privacy@tidedigital.ca and we will answer within 30 days, as Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) requires.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
Changes
If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
